Mr George Karageorge was appointment as Managing Director & CEO of MinRex Resource with Pedro Kastellorizos steeping down as CEO with this appointment as Non-Executive Director of the Company. The appointment of Mr. Karageorge is a major step forward for the Company based on Mr. Karageorge vast experience in the battery metal sector.
Mr. Karageorge is best known for his role as one of the founding geologists and registered mine manager of lithium producer, Pilbara Minerals Limited (ASX: PLS). He was instrumental in the discovery of the Pilbara Minerals multi-Billion Dollar Pilgangoora Lithium and Tantalum Deposit. His role was paramount in developing the project from the first drill hole through to the first Lithium Concentrate, taking the company into production and growing it into a A$1.5B market cap mining company in less than 4 years.
Mr Kastellorizos has more than 25 years’ experience as a successful geologist in mineral exploration and mining for numerous commodities including gold, base metals, molybdenum, tungsten, uranium, REE, PGE’s and industrial minerals. For the last 16 years, Mr Kastellorizos has been the founder and MD of Genesis Resources Ltd (ASX:GES), Managing Director of Eclipse Metals Ltd (ASX:EPM), Exploration Director of Batavia Mining Ltd (ASX:BTV), Regency Mines plc (LSX:REG), Groups Exploration Manager for Thor Mining Ltd and Tennant Creek Gold Ltd.

Mr Bahen is a director and equity partner of SmallCap Corporate and chartered secretary who commenced his career in audit and assurance with an international chartered accounting firm. He is currently a non-executive director and company secretary to a number of ASX-listed companies and has a broad range of corporate governance and capital markets experience, having been involved with public company listings, mergers and acquisitions and capital raisings for ASX-listed companies across the resource industry.
Mr Bahen is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia and holds a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in accounting and finance.
Mr Shackleton has more than 36 years’ experience as a successful geologist in mineral exploration and mining for numerous commodities including lithium, diamonds, gold, base metals, manganese, mineral sands, iron and industrial minerals.
Ian has worked in senior technical and management roles with Global Lithium, BCI Minerals, Gindalbie Metals Ltd, Iluka Resources, BHP, Normandy Mining and Murray Basin Titanium, including exploration, project and mine management positions.
